Tatra Winter Camp with Lodz Caving Club

Our caving club organized winter camp in the beginning of January. We chose Kiry village at the base of Kościeliska valley as it is close to cave locations in the Tatra National Park. Snow or low temperatures did not discourage us. Together with other members of Lodz Caving Club, after registering with the national park, we visited Kasprowa Niżna cave. Deep snow hindered our approach. Despite extremely low temperatures this year water level in caves remained high. Somewhat half way through one of the corridors was filled with icy cold water. This time my comfort side won and together with Agata we bailed out earlier to return back to the warmth of our hostel.
