Driny Cave

It is the only cave in the south-west Slovakia with a lit tourist route. It has a well preserved, beautiful dripstone decoration. The name has nothing to do with drinks but the hill in which it is located – the Drinkový Hil
This cave was already available for tourists in 1930s when the lower entrance, used to this day, was constructed. The cave is located near Smolenice village. Speleobar doubles up as a ticket office.
Entrance is 6 Euro and it takes around 30 minutes. The route is lit and does not require additional equipment or skills.

Having most of the day left we walked tens of km along forest routes. The ruins of Plavecky Castle made for a beautiful sunset skyline.
