THE ROAD TO MUZTAGH ATA PART 6 – SUBASHI VILLAGE
|
It is a small village located at the foot of Muztagh Ata at the altitude of around 3700 m. It is inhabited mostly by yak and goat shepherds.
Due to tardiness of local authorities we were forced to spend a night there. We had to wait for the confirmation of our peak permit before moving on. The local police officer who was responsible for it was waiting for another group of climbers. On the following morning we fulfilled their obligations and moved to the base camp.
