Saturday walk

IMG_8622Heat wave is moving across the Europe and staying in the city is uncomfortable. I eagerly accepted Adrian and Sylwia’s offer to go out of town for a short trip.

Our destination was the ruin of Pajštún castle located on a 480m hill and nearby woods. In order to provide a training stimulus I took a 22 kg backpack.

The route started in Borinka village where we left the car and moved into the forest. A small climbing wall by the path offered a short moment of fun for me 😉 IMG_8632

We made as short stop at the top of the hill inside the ruins. Having rested we continued onwards following winding forest paths. Towards the end our road was blocked by a stream. Having the bridge next to us of course we decided not to use it and test the quality of Adrian's mountain shoes (Quechua Forclaz 500 were waterproof during a short wade) or in my case cool my feet in the cold water 🙂

After a little over 3 hours we were back in the village.
