Saturday walk
Heat wave is moving across the Europe and staying in the city is uncomfortable. I eagerly accepted Adrian and Sylwia’s offer to go out of town for a short trip.
Our destination was the ruin of Pajštún castle located on a 480m hill and nearby woods. In order to provide a training stimulus I took a 22 kg backpack.
The route started in Borinka village where we left the car and moved into the forest. A small climbing wall by the path offered a short moment of fun for me 😉
We made as short stop at the top of the hill inside the ruins. Having rested we continued onwards following winding forest paths. Towards the end our road was blocked by a stream. Having the bridge next to us of course we decided not to use it and test the quality of Adrian's mountain shoes (Quechua Forclaz 500 were waterproof during a short wade) or in my case cool my feet in the cold water 🙂
After a little over 3 hours we were back in the village.
